IT IS POSSIBLE TO LIVE YOUR DREAMS

Posted by 104Inc.com on March 12, 2009

Stop the habit of wishful thinking and start the habit of thoughtful wishes.  Mary Martin

Your mind is your mental workshop.
You can build anything you want in it.

Visualize what you want in your mind.
See it. Feel it. Taste it. Believe in it.
Make your mental blue print
and then begin to build.

First, think about
what you want out of life.
The beginning always takes place
in your imagination.
Then organize your thoughts
into definitive plans.
Next, it’s time to transform
your thoughts into reality
by taking some positive action.

Visualize then actualize your success.

BEING SUCCESSFUL IS WITHIN YOU

Posted by 104Inc.com on February 27, 2009

How things look on the outside of you always depends
on how things are on the inside of you.

Your thoughts have brought you to where you are today.
Your actions always mirror your thoughts.
Take a good look at where you are and what you’re doing,
and you can understand what you’ve been thinking.
Your mind is your true essence.

Your behavior is the perpetual revealing of yourself.
What you do, tells everyone who and what you are.

Change your thoughts and you can change your position in life.
You can start this process at anytime.
Why not start today?

Funny: Wrong Email Address Story

Posted by 104Inc.com on February 23, 2009

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a
particularly icy winter.  They planned to stay at the same hotel where
they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic
schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules.  So,
the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his
wife flying down the following day. The husband checked into the
hotel.  There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an
email to his wife.  However, he accidentally left out one letter in
her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston , a widow had just returned home from her husband’s funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack.  The widow decided to check her email
expecting messages from relatives and friends.  After reading the
first message, she screamed and fainted. The widow’s son rushed into
the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen
which read :

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I’ve Arrived
Date: October 16, 2008

I know you’re surprised to hear from me.
They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to
your loved ones. I’ve just arrived and have been checked in.
I’ve seen that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow.
Looking forward to seeing you then!!!!
Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

P.S. Sure is freaking hot down here!!!!

TAKING A RISK IS OFTEN YOUR FIRST STEP TOWARD SUCCESS

Posted by 104Inc.com on January 14, 2009

If you don’t take some risks, you won’t get the chance to succeed. While you are trying, you are winning. The law of averages is on your side. The more you try, the greater your chance of succeeding. Never get discouraged. Every wrong attempt is another step forward. People that make no mistakes usually don’t make anything. Make up your mind not merely to overcome a thousand obstacles, but to win in spite of a thousand defeats. Your mistakes are stepping stones to success and your installment payments to victory. You can’t be a winner and be afraid to lose.

OPPORTUNITY LIES IN THE MIDST OF DIFFICULTY

Posted by 104Inc.com on December 11, 2008

Every problem has hidden in it an opportunity
so powerful that it literally dwarfs the problem.
The greatest success stories were created by people
who recognized a problem and turned it into an opportunity.

You’ll find that every situation, properly perceived,
offers you an opportunity.
As fast as each opportunity presents itself, use it.
No matter how tiny an opportunity may be, use it.
You’ll find new directions when you have an open mind
and a willing hand.

Successful people don’t achieve their distinction
by having some new talent or opportunity presented to them.
They developed an opportunity that was at hand.

You must make your own opportunities if you want to be successful.
Opportunities are all around you.

Find one and take action.

MAXIMUM SUCCESS IS ACHIEVED IN STEPS

Posted by 104Inc.com on December 9, 2008

You’ve got to say, I think that if I keep working at this and want it badly enough I can have it. It’s called perseverance.  Lee Iacocca

All progress begins one step at a time.
There is no sudden lead to greatness.
Good work, done little by little becomes great work.
The house of success is built brick by brick.

You can do what you want to do, achieve what you want to achieve,
attain any reasonable objective you may have in mind.
Not all of a sudden, nor in one sweeping act of achievement.
You will do it gradually, day by day and play by play.

If you want to do it, if you work to do it,
you will accomplish your goal over a sufficient period of time.

Your big accomplishments will be a series of little accomplishments.
It takes many strokes to overthrow the tallest oak.

Funny Joke: A Sensitive Man

Posted by 104Inc.com on November 13, 2008

A woman meets a man in a bar. They talk; they connect; they end up leaving together. They get back to his place, and as he shows her around his apartment. She notices that one wall of his bedroom is completely filled with soft, sweet, cuddly teddy bears.

There are three shelves in the bedroom, with hundreds and hundreds of cute, cuddly teddy bears carefully placed in rows, covering the entire wall!

It was obvious that he had taken quite some time to lovingly arrange them and she was immediately touched by the amount of thought he had put into organizing the display.

There were small bears all along the bottom shelf, medium-sized bears covering the length of the middle shelf, and huge, enormous bears running all the way along the top shelf.

She found it strange for an obviously masculine guy to have such a large collection of Teddy Bears, She is quite impressed by his sensitive side. but doesn’t mention this to him.

They share a bottle of wine and continue talking and, after awhile, she finds herself thinking, ‘Oh my God! Maybe, this guy could be the one! Maybe he could be the future father of my children?’

She turns to him and kisses him lightly on the lips He responds warmly. They continue to kiss, the passion builds, and he romantically lifts her in his arms and carries her into his bedroom where they rip off each other’s clothes and make hot, steamy love.

She is so overwhelmed that she responds with more passion, more creativity, more heat than she has ever known. After an intense, explosive night of raw passion with this sensitive guy, they are lying there together in the afterglow.

The woman rolls over, gently strokes his chest and asks coyly, ‘Well, how was it?’ The guy gently smiles at her, strokes her cheek, looks deeply into her eyes, and

says:

‘Help yourself to any prize from the middle shelf’

LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT

Posted by 104Inc.com on November 5, 2008

I don’t know the key to success but the key to failure is to try to please everyone.   Bill Cosby

No one can cheat you out of ultimate success but you.

You must choose the thoughts and actions that will lead you on to success.
You must set your own standards.

Nothing meaningful happens by itself.  It will all come your way, once you understand that you have to make it come your way, by your own efforts.

Only you can hold yourself back, or stand in your own way.  Only you can help yourself.

Not in time, place or circumstances, but in you lies success

The Things We Have Tried To Forget

Posted by 104Inc.com on October 21, 2008

We can never go back again, that much is certain.  The past is still too close to us.  The things we have tried to forget and put behind us would stir again, and that sense of fear, of furtive unrest, struggling at length to blind unreasoning panic-now mercifully stiled, thank God-might in some manner unforeseen become a living companion, as it had been before.

I believe there is a theory that men and women emerge finer and stronger after suffering, and that to advance in this or any world we must endure ordeal by fire.  This we have done in full measure, ironic though it seems.  We have all known fear, and loneliness, and very great destress.  I suppose sooner or later in the life of everyone comes a moment of trial.  We all have our particular devil who rides us and torments us, and we must give battle in the end.  I have conquered mine, or so I believed.

The devil does not ride me any more.  We have come through our crisis, not unscathed of course.  My premonition of disaster was correct from the beginning, and like a ranting actress in an indifferent play, I might say that we have paid for freedom.  But I have had enough melodrama in this life, and would willingly give my five senses if they could ensure us our present peace and security. Happiness is not a possession to be prized, it is a quality of thoughts, a state of mind.  Of course we have our mements of depression, but there are other moments too, when time, unmeasured by the clock, runs on into eternity and, catching a smile, I know we are together, we march in unison, no clash of thought or of opinion makes a barrier between us…
